When should we expect results from our SEO campaign?
It is a constant process, and our clients see continued improvement every month. Our goal is to get you a page 1 ranking on Google within the first 3 months. Many of our clients see high page ranking for several keyword markets within the first 45 days.
Will Number1Ranking be undertaking the SEO work yourselves or will you be outsourcing?
We have staff in the US and Australia. We do not outsource our core services. Aside from a few repetitive tasks all work is done by our employees.
What are typical fees for your Search Engine Marketing and SEO service?
Number1Ranking charges a set-up fee and monthly SEM and SEO service fee. One-time setup fees can range from $400 – $1500 or more. Currently our client’s monthly SEO investments range from $400 – $2,500 per month. All plans, services, and pricing can be customized to meet your business goals.
What is the payment schedule?
SEM services are billed ahead of each service month. We bill by credit card on the 1st or 15th of the month. This is dependent on when you start your online marketing campaign.

The bulk of our ongoing monthly work is keyword research and refinement, link building, content development, and enhancing your search engine marketing campaign to deliver a higher ROI.
Are there a limited number of keyword markets that will be pursued?
There are no limits on the amount of keyword markets that you can pursue. We have programs and packages that can be customized to meet your business goals. We work closely with you to create an online marketing campaign that promotes relevant and profitable keywords markets, resulting in an excellent ROI.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract to use your services?
Our minimum SEO contract is 6 months. Our experience has shown that good results can be usually be achieved in the first 3-4 months, excellent rankings and traffic will be seen around the 6th month. In addition, the first few months will allow us to customize your online marketing campaign based on what keyword markets drive traffic, implement conversion ideas, and adjust non-profitable efforts.
After 6 months customers can cancel their contract with a 30-day written notice.
What is Google PageRank™ and how does it affect our website(s)? How would you address improving our PageRank™ with Google, and other search engines that calculate the number of quality inbound links to our website?
PageRank, in a nutshell is Google’s indication of the relative authority of your site among its peers. All of the search engines do some level of weighted link analysis which helps to sort the sites competing for a given set of searches.
In other words, if you have two sites, which say exactly the same things, and one of them has 10 inbound links and the other has 100 links, the one with more links should clearly win.
That said, per the algorithm MORE links doesn’t always mean better. The authority of the links matters too. If the site with 10 links has links from Harvard, Emory, NASA, The Pentagon, your local newspaper and the like and the site with 100 links has nothing but free directory links, the 10 trump the 100.
What changes can we expect you to make to our website to improve our positioning in the search engines? Will these changes be visible? Will there be changes in the coding of our website?
We change a number of on-page elements including the title and description, which are not readily apparent. We also will often make changes to the visible copy to enhance the use of search terms in copy and the use of page elements such as heading tags, which are cues to the search engines of the importance of certain text.
For most clients we do not change the base code of your website structure unless your site is inherently blocking search engine spiders.
What type of reporting will you provide to us? How often will you provide those reports? Will you provide consultation on how to interpret the reports so that we have a basic understanding of the statistics?
For most clients we offer 3 monthly reports:
1. Keyword market ranking report for Google, Yahoo, and MSN/Bing
2. Traffic reporting from your chosen analytics tool
3. Linking report
In addition to these monthly reports we are happy to walk you through the reports to explain items which may be unclear.
How many pages of our website will be optimized?
All “relevant” pages to your campaign. Some customers require that a few pages not be optimized or blocked from search engines for purposes such as protecting sensitive data.
Can you assure me that the optimization strategies and methods that you are utilizing fall under the criteria of Best Practices for the SEO/SEM Industry?
Our clients’ websites are critical to their business. And the success of our clients directly relate to our success. We would never offer services that would jeopardize the value of our customers’ web properties.
We do not use unethical or black hat marketing techniques. We don’t hide text and we don’t auto-generate 15,000 links overnight. We trade content in the form of articles, PR, blog posts and submission text for links.
Do you have a support and maintenance program for website development?
We offer a monthly support contract for web design and site development. Our support contract typically covers monitoring, bug fixes, minor changes, and addressing issues with the current website. Any additional work or changes will be billed at agreed rates.
